I ran across this website while looking for other ways to support the troops.
I have spoke with them, and they are extremely nice group. Trying to make a difference for our Troops.
Please visit their site and leave comments on their page and let them know how much we appreciate
them.
14,600+ HATS SENT AS OF SEPTEMBER 30, 2010!
The weather in Afghanistan
is already turning cold! As our fine young men and women continue to serve and sacrifice for us, our need to send
them warm hats and comfort continues. Keep those hooks and needles humming!
Everyone please welcome our newest member to our Club.
Tracey Williams and her
4th Grade class
at Bacon Elementary.
One of their Community Service Projects this year is helping
suppport the
USMC HMLA 369 Gunfighters
They are putting a package together to send to the troops
around the 27th of September. Hopefully they will be looking at our website and checking out all of our crazy pictures. We
will let our boys know in Afghanistan to be expecting something and to get their camera's ready so we can get some pictures
of them receiving these packages. Thanks kids for showing your support.
I will put a picture of the Marine Corps Mascot, you guys
have something in common.
Chesty is an English bulldog – those pug noses and jutting
lower jaw are bred to make them better able to hold on once they sink their teeth in – and he's named after Chesty Puller,
the most decorated Marine in history. He is, in other words, the perfect symbol of the Marine Corps.
Notice that some of our members are doubled up on packages, Hopefully we can get enough support for each family to send
one package.
If you still cant decide to join our club then check out the creative minds behind “America’s
Army” After two years, the official U.S. Army game has registered more than 4 million users and is now one of the top
five games in the world.
The game allows people to take a look inside the Army and see what it’s like to be a Soldier,
Wardynski said. They can go through basic training and airborne school, experience how a Soldier succeeds and even see what
happens when a Soldier gets in trouble.
America’s Army is designed to be realistic, so people can see the life of a Soldier and decide
if it is something they would like to pursue in real life.
